Clutch but no gated or any shifter

At one time you could have specified your Ferrari Mondial with a manual gearchange (gated, no less) but no clutch. You could at the same time have specified a Fiat Seicento with the same thing (without the gate, because cheap car).

Here's a bus. It has instead a clutch but no gearlever, because three pedal automatic.

Thats the Seicento, rather then the Cinquecento which was proper manual only.

At the same kinda time period you could also have a Saab 900 with a similar set up

Oh, I thought they had dropped it for the Seicento but obviously not.

There were also similar things from Renault, Porsche and Mercedes. All were commercial failures.

Probably the best way to spec a Mondial was to spec it as not a Mondial.
